At Caltech, I serve as one of the Sustainability Advocates and the representative for Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics on the Graduate Student Council.
At Duke I was involved with Project WILD as a hiking leader and
a medical advisor/administrator, travelling to Pisgah National Forest
several times a year for staff training and extended backpacking trips. I also used to volunteer
in a patient-care and
supervisory role as an emergency medical technician and Crew Chief with
Duke University Emergency Medical Services.
